Home building fees

The fees for building work categories are different to the fees for trade and specialist work categories.

Note: Fees may be subject to an annual CPI increase at the start of each financial year.

Important information before you go further

Building work is:

• erection of pre-fabricated metal-framed home additions and structures
• general building work
• kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovation
• structural landscaping
• swimming pool building

The fees for trade work and specialist work are the same.

Note: The processing fee shown in the tables below is not refundable if the application is refused or withdrawn. We provide refunds by electronic funds transfer (EFT).

If your licence is cancelled, we will not refund any of the fees paid.
