Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport consists of 5 terminals (A, B, C, D, E), as described on the map of Houston Airport. The terminals operate independently connecting through the Skyway (underground train) and the Subway (elevated train). Houston Airport hosts a large number of flights covering five continents. Serving the Greater Houston area, IAH Airport is the busiest airport in Texas for international passenger traffic and the number of transnational destinations.

Terminal A at Bush Airport

According to the Houston Airport terminal map, Terminal A is located on the West side. George Bush Airport Terminal handles non-United local, Canada flights, International Departures, and Some United Express Flights. Terminal A has access to the gates of 1-30, which are divided into two groups: A1-A15 and A17-A30. The structure of the building is easy-to-navigate, you won't get lost even while being there for the first time.

Bush Airport Terminal A levels

The building of the terminal is divided into four levels as indicated on the Bush Airport map:

• Level LL is the ground floor where the Subway is found. Travelers can use the underground train to move to Terminals B/C/D/E and the Hotel Marriott.
• Level 1 serves as the Arrivals level. The facilities provided there include baggage claim, parking, and a gateway to ground transportation.
• Level 2 is the check-in and departures area. It is divided into two halls: North and South. Travelers can find gates from A1 to A15 in the North hall and access to the Skyway to Terminals B/C/D/E there (Level 3 - elevated Train). If you need access to gates A17-A30, you should move to the South lounge as you can see on the Houston International Airport map. Be aware that passengers must pass the Security desk to access both the North and South halls. The exit to the underground train that runs to B/C/D/E terminals and the Hotel Marriot can also be found at the Ticketing/Check-in zone.
• Level 3 is the upper floor of the terminal building that serves as an exit to the Skyway that connects other terminals of the airport.

George Bush Airport Terminal A lounges

Travelers can pass the waiting time and enjoy a moment of rest in one of the two lounges located on the territory of Terminal A:

• American Airlines Admirals Club offers some food options, beverages, Wi-Fi, TV, and some other facilities.
• United Airlines United Club serves drinks and snacks, Wi-Fi access, newspapers and magazines, TV, and telephone.

Terminal B at Houston Airport

Terminal B is found between Terminal A and Hotel Marriott. It consists of two sectors that are formed by North and South halls. Passengers can exit gates B1-B88 that are divided into two halls. The only airline company that hosts flights in Terminal B is United. It operates all United Express domestic flights and transnational departures. The only flights that are not handled by George Bush Airport Terminal B are international arrivals.

Terminal B levels at Houston Bush Airport

• Level LL allows travelers to get access to the Subway - a train that runs to all airport terminals and Marriott Hotel. Please note that the only way to reach the underground train is to pass through the pre-security zone.
• Level 1 is the Arrivals Level. Upon arrival at the terminal, passengers can claim their luggage there, and access ground transportation and the parking area.
• Level 2 operates Departures and the check-in process. This level has two halls (North and South) and gates B1-B88.

Houston Airport gate map indicates that North hall has the following gates: B76, B76a, B77, B77a, B79, B79a, B80, B81, B81a, B83, B83a, B85, B85a, B86, B86a, B87, B88. The gates B21-B31, B12-B20, and B1-B11 can be found in the South hall.

• Level 3 provides access to the elevated train Skyway that is used as an easy way to reach other terminals. Passengers should be aware that the Skyway is only accessible when passing through the security desk.

Houston Airport Terminal B lounges

Houston Airport Terminal B offers passengers a United Airlines United Club lounge area where they can find everything they need: snacks and drinks, Wi-Fi service, newspapers and magazines, telephone, and much more.

Terminal B hotel

If you need to stay a few nights in the hotel without leaving the IAH Airport, you can book a room at Marriott Hotel. It is placed between Terminals B and C and has a Subway Station as well.

Terminal C at Bush Airport

Terminal C, also known as Lewis W. Cutrer Terminal, hosts all local flights to and from Houston Airport owned by United Airlines, as it is described on United Airlines Houston Airport map. You need to find a zone between depots D and E and the hotel to get access to the gates C1-C45 located in Terminal C.

Bush Airport Terminal C levels

Houston IAH Airport Terminal C is divided into the North and South sides. The North part is connected with Terminal D, while the South side is linked to Terminal E. The building of IAH Terminal C has 4 levels:

• Level LL serves as an exit to the Subway that lets travelers reach other IAH terminals and the Hotel Marriott. Remember that passengers can only access the Subway by the pre-security zone.
• Level 1 is used as the Arrivals area. Upon arrival, you will find a baggage claim zone there as well as an exit to ground transportation. If you want to get to the parking, there is access to Parking C, Brown from Terminal C.
• Level 2 has the ticketing and departure areas. Going up to the second floor, travelers can use walkways connecting Terminal C with Houston Airport Terminals D and E. The gates numbered from C1 to C45 are grouped along two halls: South and North.

South hall has gates from C29-C37, and from C39 to C45. Near gate C45 you can find a walkway that links Terminal C and E, namely the area of gates E1-E24. North concourse, in turn, has gates C14-C27. Access to Parking C Purple is also available from the second floor of the terminal.

• Level 3 is the elevated train running to Terminals A, B, D, and E.

Terminal C lounges at Houston IAH Airport

Take a rest waiting for the flight in one of the available lounges in Terminal C:

• United Airlines United Club located in the North hall offers a wide range of services like drinks, Wi-Fi, telephones, children's area, etc. The lounge is open from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• United Airlines United Club can be found in the South hall. It provides snacks, beverages, Wi-Fi, and newspapers, among others.

Houston Airport Terminal D

Terminal D, also known as Mickey Leland Terminal, operates all non-United transnational operations and some United Express international arrivals. According to the Houston Airport map, the building is situated in the East part of the airport and has exits to 12 gates.

Terminal D levels at George Bush Airport

You can find the facilities provided by each terminal level. Terminal C differs by the presence of an additional Mezzanine Level.

• Level LL allows travelers access to the Subway to reach A/B/C terminals and the airport hotel. Please be aware that it is only possible to reach the Subway by passing the pre-security area.

• Mezzanine Level is a location of The Centurion Lounge run by American Express Airlines. You can easily go down to the second floor or go up to Level 1.
• Level 2 serves as the Departure area. There are gates D1-D12 located through the terminal. You can use a walkway that connects Terminal D with Terminal C (gates C14-C45). You will find this walkway near gate D1. If you need to reach the beginning of Terminal E, the walkway near gates D7 and D8 will easily take you there. There is an elevator and escalator available for passengers to get to the hotel and other Houston Airport’s terminals.
• Level 3 has the Skyway (elevated train) that will take you to other parts of the airport building.

Terminal D lounges at IAH Airport

According to the Houston Bush Airport map, Terminal D offers the largest number of lounges where travelers can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for a flight. Check out the list of lounge zones to have a break:

• The Centurion Lounge provides the following services: premium food, showers, beverages and snacks, Wi-Fi access, TV, and much more.
• USO Lounge is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It offers a wide choice of food options, Wi-Fi, Internet terminals, and TV.
• KLM Crown Lounge is a place where you can have delicious snacks with a cup of coffee or some cold drinks, and get access to Wi-Fi, TV, Internet Terminals, etc.

Terminal E at Houston Airport

Bush Intercontinental Airport Terminal E is located on the East side near C and D terminals. It is considered to be the Houston Airport United terminal as it hosts all United airlines international flights from all other terminals and some local operations. There are gates numbered from E1 to E24 at this terminal.

Houston Airport Terminal E levels

The terminal building consists of four levels:

• Level LL provides access to the underground train that runs to other IAH Terminals and the hotel. Please note that passengers can only reach the Subway via the pre-security zone.
• Level 1 is an area of international arrivals. Travelers will find baggage claim, exit to ground transportation, and parking there.
• Level 2 serves as the departure and check-in zone. You will find gates E1-E24 and a walkway to Terminals C, and D there.

Two halls (North and South) group the gates at Terminal Houston Airport as follows:

- Gates E1-E3, E4a, E4b, E5a, E5b, E6, E7a, E7b, E8 and E9 (on the left side).

- Gates E10a, E10b, E11, E12, E14 (in the southwestern part).

- Gates E15a, E15b, E16, E17, E18a, E19, E20a, E20b, E21-E24 (on the right side).

Travelers can use a walkway that takes them to Terminal C, namely gates C41-C45. You will find this walk pass near gate E1.

• Level 3 is the location of the elevated train that reaches A, B, and C terminals.

Bush Airport Terminal E lounges
